Replaced My 6850 with this.
I got this card as a replacement for my old 6850 that burnt up after 2 years. These "new" cards are pretty much remakes of the 6000 series I do believe (maybe low end 7000s, but offers the same power my 6850 gave me, just more stability). But I have to say they work a little bit better for practically the same price. Stock cooling wise it runs VERY cool, in the 50C range at max graphics for most new games and idles quite cool as well in 20-30 range. It is a bit faster too. But that is really all it has going for it in comparison.
If you want a newer card that will last you through the next few graphical upgrades of the years this might not be the best choice. As you can get some more powerful cards for a little more in price. But I’d say if you are looking at the 6800 series, these might be considered.
