I had to buy this to use with a stepper motor controller and none of the others, which were Prolific PL2303 chipsets, worked. This one is fully customizable and works perfectly with my controller. Not to mention it seems that the PL2303 are not compatible with either win7 or 64-bit systems, not sure which but grab yourself the FTDI chipset and it’ll work just fine.
